Whilst working as a nanny for most of her life, Maier secretly indulged in her love for the camera, taking candid street pictures and striking self-portraits on the job. Her prolific body of work, including thousands of undeveloped rolls of film along with stacks of daily newspapers, was found by chance, in storage units just two years before her death. Cody explains: “It feels as though she was trying to preserve time. Maier was an incredible master of her trade that might have never been.” Thank you!
