A collection of photographs taken on one of the great engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s bridges, that crosses the Great Western Railway near Paddington Station, West London, where Cody grew up. As a young boy, walking to school, he would cross this bridge daily and watch the ever-changing colours and patterns as they appeared.

In Time we Rust.

‘As the paint and iron eroded, the bridges would be repainted every few years, each time with a different colour and sometimes using two or three colours at one time. In the 80s and 90s endless music posters would cover the bridges and for ease they would be simply be painted over. The posters would peel off and reveal the older paint underneath, creating these incredible linear shapes of different colours. Seeing the bridge slowly eroding with rust I was drawn to this beautiful combination of broad painted shapes and pockets of rust - a textural, colourful, incredible visual of the passing of time.’
